In other news, watching twilight because it's 7am and I'm freaking bored. And this is every bit as painful as I thought it would be.

1: COURTNEY ILU I wish it were easier to talk but I still hope you're doing alright. Even if your body is incapable of cooperating.

2. WE ARE HIRING. We're opening a new store in a couple weeks so we need an assload of people. You can apply to the Tims at King and John, or the one in the food court under Roy Thompson Hall. Metro Center concourse. You could be hired for one of these stores, or for the new one in Simcoe Place. If you KNOW ME and are applying, put my name on there under 'how you found out about this job' and let me know so if I get asked I can put in a good word without being caught off guard.

It's not easy work, but it's work. Yeah. Pass it around if you know someone who needs something bad and can get downtown fairly easy.

3. HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEN

4. Bathroom cleaner fumes are AMAZING! I really should start putting the fan in that bloody doorway when I clean in there though. This could have negative effects in the long run. Wheeeee~

- Dotcon: not really banking on it, it's tiny and way out in the middle of bum fuck nowhere and I can't really take the weekend off for it because we're short-staffed and I'm the baker now~
If I do go, will likely be Sweden to support m'wife. Well, lazy Idon'treallyhaveacostume Sweden. Bleh

-DTAC: Germany, training outfit (fatigues, tank, boots n' hat). This is happening. So help me god. Even if I do it alone. I did not bleach my head to hell and back to not do this. I am up for photoshoots once I get my new binder for it (likely late November). I will likely be there most of the day since it's close and I can escape to nap.

-Claire: Saturday is definitely a go for me, need some quality time with m'wife. If you have your schedule for December, we can find some time during your break for me to invade with Swedish noms and...Swedishness? Bork?

-Halloween: Rue Morgue. Should be fun. If not, get to stare at Hungary in a corset. Should still be fun. Plus I get to join the Ascot Society. =D

-Home: Bleh. Not home much, with work and social things and more work and errands. Need to get on top of that more. Living in a pile of trash is totally not cool.

-Music: I'd love some reccs, I listen to my own music at work now and the same 400 songs every day get kiiiinda old. Help me jazz up my nights?

-Random: I MISS YOU GAIZ. Well, the ones I don't see often. And the ones I do see often. I need there to be an extra few hours in the day, is a 30 hour day too much to ask? XD

Nyeh. Workworkwork, been having mild health issues but I think I fixed it. Gym is going better now, if I could just get peoples to tell me whats on their minds I'd be good to goooo~

And now I'm off to stuff myself with eggs and sausage and pass out. Lots to do tonight too.

I'm going to write this up now, since I'm heading into the last day of a 10 day work week and I need to think about HAPPY STUFF or I will claw off my face so help me god.

Also, going home Sunday/will be busy tomorrow so I might not get to update before Monday.


I am thankful for a lot of things, I have a lot to be grateful for.

I am thankful for my mom, who accepts me no matter what even if she doesn't like it. It took almost 20 years, but we get along so much better than so many mother/daughter relationships I know of. So thanks, mom. I know I'm crazy <3

I'm thankful for my brother, who will happily discuss video games with me and has gotten me into some neat stuff.

I'm thankful for my friends, the ones I have the fortune to see almost weekly and the ones I'm lucky to see once or twice a year. I love you all.

I am thankful to be Canadian, to live in a country where I can live as I please and not worry too much about being beaten in the streets for it is wonderful.

I am thankful to be in Toronto, where I can be in virtually any part of the world if I wander around the TTC long enough.

I am thankful for the TTC, for all it's flaws it's still a great system and has generally done me well.

I am thankful for my job, even if I would rather chew off my leg than go to work for my last night. I've gotten away with a lot of stuff here, and because I work in a food-dealing establishment my food costs are vastly lower than they could be.

I am thankful for my cell phones. I love my phones, both my Ericsson and my Nokia. Both came to me for free, but they've gotten so much use. And MP3 phones are awesome, I consider myself very fortunate here.

I am thankful for my laptop, for all its issues it's a pretty nice machine and I am glad to have it.

I'm thankful to know so many roleplayers, it makes life a lot more entertaining.



I'm probably going to think up some more tonight, with the weather and the holiday I'm hoping it's a slowish night.

My shower. It works properly again. No more burnt feet, no more bipolar water temperatures. Just beautiful, sweet falling water that maintains one level of heat, and real water pressure again.

This has seriously been eating at me pretty much since I woke up yesterday, and it's something I honestly didn't think I'd ever do.

Let me give you a basic rundown of my day.

7:15am : Left work

8am: got first box of dye, came home and put it on

9am: discovered dye had no effect on the red in my hair from previous dye jobs

10am: Went on an hour long trek to get another box of dye

11am: Started up with round two of bleaching, only to discover red still refused to move

12pm: Gave up, emailed mummeh for advice and went to bed

6pm: Dragged ass out of bed, discovered useful information in my inbox

6:30pm: dragged ass out to Shoppers to find peroxide and suitable dye

7:30pm: surmised Toronto doesn't trust people with peroxide, located a bleach that claims ability to remove previous dye jobs + contains peroxide. Declared it close enough, returned home.

8pm: combed bleach round 3 into hair to spare scalp, wound up with a pheonix wright-esque style

9pm: finally rinsed off head, discovered the back of my head is still dark but most of my head is either blonde or orange.




I have one more round of color set for tomorrow morning before bed. Somehow, I still have hair and my scalp isn't on fire.

And for the record, if you're cool with SLIIIGHT roots, combing color in is a real head saver. Thanks mom~

FanExpo 2009. I survived.

Totally screwed up the social thing, I am aware and I am sorry.

On the up side, wound up in ACTUAL GROUPS all weekend. That hasn't happened in forever. So. Happy. =D

Okay, glee kind of tarnished due to social failings. But still super spiffy. And learning things! I'm doing it!

I slept 3 hours Friday morning, 8 hours Friday night and 1.5 hours saturday night. I was not very conscious Sunday, and I already don't do well keeping track of more than a couple things. There was so much happening holy crap.

I should be back to normal soon. I've just been super crazy the last few weeks with social stuff and work and attempting to be useful for costumes. Which I largely failed at. Oops.

Uh. Anyone else I annoyed. Sorry. I am. I don't remember parts of this weekend, I'm not even kidding. It was a blast, but a killer and really an eye opener as to what I can and cannot do at cons.

I swear though, something was in the air 9 months ago. Why so many birthdays within a week or so? Guh...

Uuuugh so sleepy.

Stupid building. You said you were testing the fire alarms yesterday. Y'know, when I was out of the house? Not today when I was actually trying to sleep. Fark.

On top of this, my bathroom has once again decided FE is a good reason to break. Last year my ceiling fell down, this year my toilet is broken. Considerably less annoying, since it can still be manually flushed...but not something I needed this week.


How early is everyone getting to FE on Friday? I'm looking to be there around noon so I can hopefully skip the rush and not be in line forever to pick up my ticket. Anyone else going to be there that early? ;3;

Oh, what a week.

On the work front:

For whatever reason (I've gotten several stories) we've let go two night workers. Or they quit. Or something.

Anyway. This means I get to start baking towards the end of summer. Full time. GLEE, BITCHES.

Also, this may mean we'll hire again for night crew but idk. I'm pretty sure we're running out of day people that want to do it. Either way, I don't really care because I get to baaaake and listen to music and it's not my problem anymore.


On the...other stuff front.

I have a new phone! An Ericsson, a rather pretty thing. Continuing my trend of 'OMNOMNOMSLIDERYESPLZ', like my Nokia (which is still going strong, but lacks an MP3 player/expandable memory. I'll likely use it for con phone/backups/something). If anyone has some rather heartstring-tugging instrumental pieces, I would me much obliged if I could grab a copy. I have plans for this phone at FanEx, speakers = <3

CLEANING.

OH YES.

My closet is almost clean. Which means my room can follow suit. My home is...messy, still, but much better. I CAN WALK AROUND, GLEE WITH ME.

Hetalia laser tag/picnic is this weekend. This should be interesting... I just hope my wig shows up tomorrow, do not want to use the crappy one from NAF. Wish me luck with not dying of heat stroke, since the shirt I'll be wearing for spy!Ivan requires 3 heavy layers under it. It's supposed to be in the high 20s Sunday for the picnic. Ugh.

People who are going to that, I am taking orders now for cookies and blueberry blooms. You know, those awesome flowery things? Yeah, those. They're pretty tasty. Comment and I'll bring one for you. If you know a friend who'll want one, reserve one for them. I'm baking to order. Because I'm cheap and lazy. =3

Just before I run off for work... I'd like to say something I've been meaning to say for a while.

I realized recently that I've known you guys for a lot longer than I initially thought. About 5-6 years. Holy shit, you guys.

There's so much I want to say, but it would all end up rather incoherent and blubbery so let me skip to the tl;drish version:

I moved around a lot as a kid. A new school every year, a couple different homes a year, visiting a parent in another city...after grade 3 I never had any friends for more than a year. I'd forgotten it could happen. You guys have been around longer than just about anyone I'm not related to. And I still love you both more than I can really say. In spite of the rougher parts of our friendships, I know I can still trust you with anything.

Thank you. I raise my watermelon Arizona to our future, and the fact that you're both coming for FanExpo (which is the same weekend of my birthday) makes me so happy you don't even know.

And to the rest of my f-list, I love you all too~ I've known some of you for close to 3 years too @_@;

My work week has been mighty awesome so far. I've walked into cups/edges so much I have fantastic bruises on my legs, nearly set new pots of coffee to pour into older ones, and other wonderful awesomeness.

I think last night takes the cake though.

We use bags of milk and cream, hidden in those big steel boxes between the sugar dispenser and the coffee machine. We ran out of milk. so I pulled out the empty plastic doohickey and disposed of the empty milk bag. I put a new bag in it, and pulled on the rubber line to get it to line up with the opening. I do this all the time. We all do. Except this time, I somehow managed to pull the line OUT OF THE BAG. Right out. 10 liters of milk. EVERYWHERE. In the middle of a rush. Once I got it cleaned up and veeery carefully replaced the milk AGAIN, I was sent on break.

Lessons learned? I may have learned to stop breaking iced coffee and yogurt cups, but I've got to watch my strength on things like milk/cream. Oh man. Baking tonight and tomorrow, though, so only so much damage I can do there. Mostly to myself.

On a completely not related note: littlefinch the violet you have for Finch's eyes are Violet 3? Or Violet 2. I'm ordering them express when I wake up, PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME I'M A LOSER FOR THIS? XD
